Well, I knew it would happen quickly because I know our luck. Harper's school called today and said that she had a 102 fever and was spitting/throwing up. I knew the daycare germies would hit fast but geez let me get through my first week of school!!!

I panicked because I'm so afraid of her fever getting that high after the febrile seizure she had last June. We made it to the doctor and her throat is really red and infected so with a little medicine we should be good to go! She's already bouncing around the house this evening and being silly girl.

She'll get some snuggle time with Daddy tomorrow and hopefully we can still go on our road trip this weekend.

Good times!

I am so overwhelmed right now.

This week has been one of the hardest "back to school" weeks ever.  I don't remember last year being this hard but Harper was just and infant and had no idea what was going on.  She did great at daycare and would sleep when we came home or while I cooked dinner.

This year is completely different.  She has cried everyday I have dropped her off at daycare :(  Our mornings feel like a 5k marathon and evening times are fun yet stressful too.

I know this too shall pass but I'm struggling.  I feel guilty working late and missing time with Harper but I feel SO behind at work.  We'll find our balance but right now it completely SUCKS.

On the up side, I'm so close to reaching my half way point of my goal weight loss.  I'm doing really awesome on Weight Watchers and the Couch to 5K program.  It's been a little harder since I've gone back to work this week but I'm more determined than ever.  I've also dropped two sizes in my clothes!!

And now a photo dump...

Meeting cousin Will for the first time. Such a sweety and he loves Harper.

 Hanging out in Mommy's classroom.
Finally sleeping during our long shopping adventure.

Last Week of Summer and River Trip

This is my final week of summer and I am S.A.D.  I enjoyed being home with Harper and having no set schedule.  I've loved watching her learn and grow over these past couple of months.   So grateful I have this job and I'm already looking forward to next summer!

Harper starts her new daycare on Monday and I'm nervous, scared, anxious, excited and everything else. I know she'll do great...I'm just worried about myself :(

Playing at the Children's Museum in The Woodlands

"Mom, there's a fish!"

Making friends at the play area in the mall.
(This was right after she had one of the biggest blow outs of her life!!)

 Posing for Mom

This past weekend, Scott and I went on our 6th Annual River Float Trip.  We had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone.  I look forward to this trip every year.

On Friday, my husband buzzed his hair and had a mohawk.  Poor Harper had no idea what to think of her Daddy.
I might have thought it was mighty attractive!

Some of this might have happened.....
 Lovely Ladies
 River Rats

End of the float and obviously very happy!
We ended the weekend with a stop at one of our most favorite restaurants ever. YUM!

Matching Pepaw and Harper

Scott's Dad wears a tropical shirt to work everyday.  The last time they went to Hawaii, they bought Harper a matching dress.   It finally fits so when we went to dinner they wore their matching outfits!

Last Week Adventures

I took Harper to Bouncing Bears last week and she was a little unsure at first.  Once I went into the bouncy with her she seemed to enjoy it.  Really, all she wanted to do was just run around which was fine because the whole floor is padded.

Playing outside in the evening time!

Scott came home one day last week and randomly said that he was going to install a sprinkler system.  He worked and I sat outside and watched.

Harper helped her Daddy.

I painted Harper's nails.  After we were done she had the bottle and dropped it on my tile floor.  It looked like a blood scene.  Luckily all of it came up.
Last Tuesday was our last day of swimming lessons.

This past weekend we took Harper to Matagorda for the first time.  She did really great and loved the boat and the beach.
On Sunday she started to get sick and by Monday she was so dehydrated and couldn't keep anything down.  Poor baby just slept all day.  She had to have some blood work done but finally last night she started eating and drinking again.  Today, she's acting like she was never sick!

Eating ice on the boat.

 Harper with the boys.
 Rhemy and Ryder. So cute.

Ryliegh and Harper.  She was such a big helper.
She told me that if Harper could talk, she was say  "I love you Ryliegh".
Riding the John Deere and watching the barges.
