She Found the Stairs :(

Harper was playing in the living room and then disappeared. I turned around and she was on the stairs! She climbed the first two and made it to the first little landing. Oh goodness, the craziness is here!

Our Weekend

We celebrated Aunt Linny's Birthday!
 Wore pretty dresses.
Hung out with Gigi and ate at the Whistle Stop.
 Went shopping in the Woodlands!
 Tried to pose for pictures.
Played with Dad and entertained family.
And Harper got her first black eye :(
She fell and hit the stairs when she was trying to walk.  I'm sure this will be the first of many.

We Have A Walker!

Harper has been practicing steps over the last week or so but she's finally got it for the most part. She will walk to places without us looking or bribing her. She's still very wobbling but we officially have a walker. Once again, I'm so proud of her but they grow up WAY TOO FAST!!! It seems like yesterday that we at the hospital welcoming her into the world.
Here she is just cruising with her walker.
The past two nights she's been a little too brave and tried to stand up in the bath tub. She fell backwards and hit her head. DRAMA. Little Diva also tries to scoot around on her bottom and gets going to quick and fell backward and hit her head again. DRAMA. Right now, her favorite thing to do in the bath is to fill a bucket up with water and dump it on her face while trying to "drink" as much as she can. She threw up tonight during her night time milk because she "drank" too much water in the bathtub. CRAZY.

Two Sweet Families

When you feel stressed and overwhelmed, just look around and see how many things you have to be thankful for in your life.

We are blessed to have wonderful friends and family, a healthy beautiful little girl, a gorgeous home and stable careers.

Please say prayers for these two families and reflect on all the wonderful things you have in your life.

Kolby and her husband Brian lost their little boy unexpectedly in October. Carson was only 5 months old. They have organized a team for a race in San Antonio on May 12th in honor of Carson. To sign up for the race or to help make a contirbution in order for the team to reach their goal, you can visit Team Angel Wings. . I know Kolby and Brian would truly appreciate it.

Many of you have already heard about Avery's Story.. Avery's Mom worked at my apartment complex where Scott and I met in college. Unfortunately, Avery was diagnosed with a rare muscle disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Basically, Avery has only months left with her parents and they have created a bucket list for her. She is on a mission to accomplish as much as she can in her sweet, little life. Avery and her parents are so inspiring.

Harper's First Easter

We had a wonderful Easter this year!

Harper was fussy over the weekend so we're taking her in today to see if the ear infection healed from last week. I have a feeling it's still bothering her. I'm so ready for her to feel good and get over these infections.

We went to Good Friday services at Scott's church and then had dinner with the family at El Palenque. Our sweetie was no angel and even bit me in church.

Saturday we headed to Nada and let Wade and Harper have their Easter baskets. They also had a mini Easter Egg Hunt and Harper really wasn't in the mood.

"Wade look at all this!"
"I got a dollar!"
Harper is really into giving me big, wet kisses right now~
My sweet nephew!
Then we had dinner at Memo and Popo's.
Katie and Uncle Darby took Harper to the chicken coop and she found a "real" egg.

"So this is a real egg??"
Sunday, the Easter Bunny visited Harper (even though she's been very naughty) and we went to church.
"Now where are we going?"
After church, we headed out to Circle K. Cousin Rachel (who I used to babysit) watched Harper as the big people hunted eggs.
We headed home and made a last stop at Scott's parent's house where Harper had yet another Easter basket.

We were all so tired but loved all the family time.

10 Months Old!

Harper is 10 Months Old Today!

She celebrated her day by being diagnosed with yet another damn ear infection. GRRRR!
Anyways, she's in a pretty good mood and it doesn't seem to bother her much.

She weighs about 19.5 pounds and is learning to stand up on her own. She's not a baby anymore :(

We're already planning her birthday party and I might already have her birthday decor.
I might also be going overboard but she only turns once and I can do what I want.
I'm so excited and love what Sharon at Chubby Cheeks Boutique here in Tomball has done.
All the Moms out there that have baby birthdays soon, check out her Etsy site. I just love her work!

These are pictures she took and posted.
And here is Harper working on standing up on her own.
Very quick and not a very good angle but I want to remember it.

Hello April

Happy April and April Fool's Day!

I think Harper's ears are still giving her trouble but we managed to have
some fun despite but little girl feeling crummy off and on over the weekend.

Saturday was Scott's company picnic out in Industry. There was lots of babies and kids everywhere! Harper hung out with her friend Harper Fo.

I want to play like the big kids!
Harper and Mom
And Dad

My cool shades!

Harper and I went to church Sunday morning and then went and ate at Dairy Queen. Baby girl was smiling, waving and grabbing at anyone in site. She may not look like Scott, but the chick is a social bug just like him!

We came home and tried out her little pool. She was interested for about a full 10 minutes and then was ready to move on.

Tomorrow we'll be heading back the doctor for this vicious never ending ear cycle.

Thanks Gigi for my new bathing suit!
Get in here Honey!
