Busy Week

I had a super busy week with the end of the nine weeks, meetings and classes but I was still able to take Harper to her very first Tomball Varsity Volleyball Game. I couldn't find a Tomball onesie so I just put her in Tomball colors. It is a little sad that she won't be wearing Raider blue :(

Here is Hattie holding Harper at the game. Harper loved all the action but had to take a little snooze toward the end of the game. Harper and Daddy going to watch the Texans!

Mrs. Lindsay sent me this picture during the week. We had beautiful weather so they went to the park. Poor Harper didn't have her shades this day.

We went for a walk one evening and it was a little cooler so I dressed her up in her lady bug blanket and hat. She looked so darn cute.

We celebrated Memaw's 80th Birthday Party on Saturday.

Having fun one morning before we headed out the door.

We had a great weekend in Tomball and spent lots of time with family and friends. Uncle Judd and Aunt Bonnie came to stay with us Thursday night, Scott and I went out Friday night for a friend's birthday and then Saturday we celebrated Memaw's 80Th birthday party. Harper was a very good girl all weekend and she continues to fill our hearts with so much joy.

I finally gathered up the courage and put her to sleep without her swaddle for the first time Monday night. Amazingly, she slept all night and only woke up an hour earlier than normal. She been doing great, just waking up a little earlier here and there but honestly I can't complain. She has also decided that she would rather sleep on her belly.

Now, we are just waiting on cousin Wade to make his grand entrance. We can't wait and are so excited! It is amazing how much our family has changed during this year.

These little people are true gifts from God!

Heavy Heart

I've had such a heavy heart all day.

A friend that I went to college with lost her sweet baby, Carson suddenly yesterday morning.

Carson is only four weeks older than Harper.

Carson was put in his swing yesterday, at his babysitters, to take a nap and never woke up.

I was stunned when I heard the news and cannot imagine the pain they must feel right now.

God has a plan and for some reason he needed Carson with him.

Please pray for this family as they go through this tragic and very tough time.

Kolby wrote and posted this today.

"Brian and I thank everyone from the bottom of hearts for the love and support during such a devastating time in our lives. There are no words to explain how we feel....only time will allow us to heal....hug your loved ones each and every day because you never know what each day might bring.... We love you all and are blessed to have such amazing love and support through such hard times."

Pumpkin Patch in El Campo

Last weekend we took Harper to the Pumpkin Patch in El Campo. It was so neat but there was so many people and so much going on that Harper did not want to smile for us.

Our friend Maggie! They girls are 2.5 weeks apart. My baby is the one with the ROUND face!! HA!

Victory

Unfortunately our yard has been invested with all sort of rodents lately. Scott is so angry because they are rooting up his masterpiece. So, he's been on a mission and has all sorts of traps set up for his lovely friends. This morning he was upset because there was no armadillo is his big trap BUT to his surprise he did catch one of his underground friends. I thought it was pretty cute and felt sorry for the poor thing but he on the other hand felt a little sense of victory.

I think it's a gofer but not sure. And here are some recent pictures of my other little girl. Honey has not been wanting to take pictures lately so here's Skylar. She has been so good with Harper. They're really starting to interact with each other.
And one of Mr. Toby when I was home in Nada.

First Tooth

Harper's first tooth finally popped out today. It's so weird to feel it when I stick my finger in her mouth. I'm very excited but yet also very sad because this means my baby is really growing up. It looks like the tooth next to it will make its appearance very soon too.

And so I can remember and document this monumental occasion its on the lower section, either the lateral or central incisor on the left.
I wonder if Harper will appreciate this diagram one day :)

4 Month Stats

I took Harper to her 4 month check up this past week. Right now she only weighs 13 lbs 12 oz and is about 25 inches long.

She loves to stand and put weight on her legs and is learning to scoot around. She doesn't stay in one place anymore!

She makes all kinds of sounds and loves to hear herself. She can also make silly noises by blowing out her mouth which is not very lady like.

Harper has about 6 bottles a day and drinks around 5 ounces each time (little rabbit!). She is also eating one meal a day and has had sweet potatoes, carrots and green beans. Dr.Rose said we can start eating fruits and adding a mid morning meal.

Friday night we had dinner with our friend Harper Fo and her parents. Harper Fo is only 2.5 months younger than our Harper (Harper Free) and they live around the corner. We can't wait for the girls to grow up together.

Daddy kept Harper all day long on Saturday while I went to the ATM game. Uncle Mobo came by to help Daddy and entertain. Then my Mom took Harper down to Nada while I try to get some school work done today.

And here are some pictures of Harper Baby!

Happy 4 Months Baby!

In honor of your 4 month birthday, you had sweet potatoes for dinner. You loved them. You still don't really like the rice cereal but that's ok. I wouldn't be a fan either. Love you big girl!

My mom is holding her up in this picture...she is not standing but she is looking so grown up :(

First bites of sweet potatoes! **Warning: She is drooling alot here!**

Eating like a pro (kind of).

Laughing

Lindsay sent me this video of Harper the other day. Love this little girl to pieces.
