Better Days

Today, I received these from my sweet Mom.

And I had a better day! The swelling didn't quite kick in until after I got home and I had the energy to finally go to the grocery store.

I've been meaning to post some pictures of some of the awesome things Baby Girl received at the baby shower on Sunday. She received so many sweet things! We feel so blessed that she already has so many people that love her. Here's a picture of one of my favorite gifts made by Laura Pemberton. I think she has a website that I'll have to post later.

Anyways, I've been sitting here, trying to put Honey's paw on my belly so she can feel the baby kick but Baby Girl won't cooperate! I'm going to keep trying.

Infant Care Class

Last night Scott and I attended a Newborn Care Class at the Tomball Regional Hospital. It was very informative and quite humorous at times. We learned so many things and then practiced some basic tasks on a baby doll, like learning how to bathe a newborn and swaddle them properly. I felt like I knew more than I thought I did and Scott also excelled in all the task. I told him he could be a "real" Dad now after I saw his swaddling skills.
I've had some tough couple of days this week. I am so exhausted by the time I get home that I can't do anything that I have on my list to do at the new house. It's a struggle to get through the day and my feet and fingers have been swelling everyday this past week. I feel horrible and I toss and turn at night (which is a job in itself). I really can't imagine how I'm going to get through these last two months of teaching feeling this crummy. The other two pregnant ladies on campus look so good and look like they feel OK. I'm pissed off because I feel like I'm doing something wrong!! I need energy and I need strength. I'm praying that God will help me get through these last two months.

Before I start crying again, here is a picture of my Sleeping Beauties.

We've moved!

YAY! We are finally in our new house and I can't thank God enough for blessing us with this beautiful home that my family will live and grow in. We love our street and neighborhood.

It's been a very tiring week but we're in and my feet are DONE! They're swollen and tired. I'm hoping to get Baby Girl's paint tomorrow and start in her nursery.

Thank you to all our friends and family that have helped us with this move. We couldn't have done it without you! Hopefully, I'll take some pictures soon of the new house.

I had an appointment on Thursday and my glucose test came back clear but I do have to start taking an iron supplement because my blood work shows that I'm anemic. I'll take anything because I'm in desperate need of an energy boost!

Looking forward to my first shower for our Baby Girl on Sunday. I'm so excited!

28 Weeks

I finally had Scott take a picture of me after missing a few weeks. Nothing really new, just way bigger! Baby Girl seems to be doing fine. She moves around alot still at night and gives me a few power kicks randomly throughout the day. We went to the rodeo twice last week and she didn't really enjoy the fireworks. She was going crazy in there!

We have a doctor's appointment this week and I did my glucose test last Friday. Other than that, things are really good. I'm not going to complain because I know what a miracle it is to be carrying this special little girl! However, I did underestimate how hard pregnancy would be on my body. It's been quite a learning experience!

We FINALLY sold our house last Friday and are signing papers for our new house tomorrow. The sellers live in Dallas so we may not get the keys until Tuesday but I'm just so HAPPY this day in finally here. It's been a roller coaster of emotions with many bumps in the road.

I'm just itching to get Baby Girl's nursery all set up and thanking God that I'm on Spring Break this next week. I also get to take a week off from my master's work so I'll be nesting at our new house!
