We had one really tough week last week.
I'm not going to lie...it was tough.
First of all, we lost Mr. Mike suddenly, which was a shock and surprise and we will miss this dear man greatly.
We also found out that I suddenly miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks. We are fine and at peace with what has happened and solely have put everything into God's hands. I had a feeling right away that things were not going well and Friday the test proved that our little poppy seed didn't make it to it's 6th week.
We had a great doctors visit yesterday and she was very optimistic which has put Scott and I at great ease. It is not that uncommon to miscarry your first pregnancy during the first 10-12 weeks.
We ask for your prayers during this time as we move forward with great optimism and look forward to the future.
In honor of our little poppy seed, I ask that you visit this website.
Sarah lost her poppy seed just 2 1/2 weeks before she was to deliver Mamie. In honor of Mamie, she has organized Mamie's Poppy Plates. This organization provides a keepsake for parents who are not able to take their babies home from the hospital. Sarah and Taylor live in Arkansas but I have followed her blog for about two years now and have seen the pain they have gone through. This is a beautiful idea and beautiful family.
