Parker

Last Friday, I posted a link to this photographer's blog. As I have mentioned before, she is an awesome photographer and Mom. She even read and responded to my post!

Saturday morning her daughter Parker, started having seizures and was rushed to the hospital. They are still there and she had an MRI done today.

Please keep Parker, Jodie and the rest of their family in your prayers.

Here's also a link to Jodie's personal blog.

The World Will Never Forget Seamus

Please click on the following link.

The World Will Never Forget. Seamus.

I have followed this photographer/mom/super cool person for nearly two years now. She has 3 beautiful children and is an AWESOME photographer. This is a beautiful story of a family she photographed that had to say goodbye to their sweet baby days after he was born.

So thankful...

There are times when I wish I had a bigger house, a new car, more money, etc........

However, there are days when I come home from work and feel so thankful with the things I have been blessed with.

Scott and I both come from loving, established families and I can't thank our parents enough for raising us in such loving and stable homes.

Many kids in my class right now aren't so lucky to have what we had growing up.

Today, a student came to school and really just smelled awful. When asked if she had taken a bath yesterday, she quickly replied "No" and I'm not sure if she remembered that last time she had bathed.

She had been complaining of a stomach ache for the past two days but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. She just seemed off and very unhappy. The nurse cleaned out our "storage" shower and let her shower and get clean. She came back a different person- bright and HAPPY! All she needed was a nice bath :(

I can't imagine living like this and never will.

It breaks my heart when my students bring baggies full of pennies, nickels and dimes so they can get that one book order. OR when they talk about things that happen at home which they should NOT have to deal with at 9 years old.

BUT I am so thankful I can be in their lives and give them a little touch of hope.

I know... this is sappy and deep but I just thought of this while I was in the shower.

We may not always be happy with what we have, but we can be thankful :)

What's the deal??

I have been VERY bad at posting lately and I hate it.

One main reason I haven't posted lately is because I'm having issues loading pictures. Once I get it figured out, I'll post more pictures since the wedding.

We've been busy with lots of wedding/baby showers and family get-togethers. I'm in FIVE!! weddings from now until the end of next February and Scott's in THREE!! weddings!!!

Scott's busy with work and keeping up with the yard. I'm quite proud of him and you should see our roses and everything else that has been blooming around the house.

I have TAKS next week and can't wait to get it over with. Only ONE!! more month and then summer :) What can I say...I LOVE MY JOB!!

I have lots of things planned for summer....
-starting grad school at Sam Houston to get my masters in Library Science
-tutoring
-getting some GT hours completed
-lots of organizing in the house :)
-sanding and painting the cabinets in the kitchen and completing the much needed makeover in there
-visiting friends
-working at the dental office

I really don't think I'll get everything accomplished but I have high hopes.

I've found lots of fun, entertaining, and beautiful blogs recently. I post some soon :)
