The Last Lecture

Last month, on the final day of my Teacher Preparation Course, my teacher showed the class this wonderful 90 minute video about a guy named Randy Pausch.

Randy Pausch was a wonderful and remarkable teacher who was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year. He was given 3-6 months to live. The video was his "Last Lecture" at Carangie Mellon which is where he taught computer science for many years. His "Last Lecture" was really incredible and very uplifting. He took his diagnosis with dignity and as a teacher, this man loved all his students and gave everyone a chance. He was a remarkable teacher and he will motivate anyone do go after and follow their dreams.

Randy passed away last Friday with his wife and 3 children by his side. Watch "The Last Lecture: A Celebration of Life" Tuesday July 29 on Primetime (ABC) at 9 p.m.

You can read more about his life and watch a short video HERE

Pretty great guy...
