Waiting

Scott's in the process of re-finishing our bathroom cabinets so the doors have been off for a couple days. When I got out of the shower the other day, look where I found the little lamb! It's her new favorite spot while she waits on me. Such a cutie!

The Last Lecture

Last month, on the final day of my Teacher Preparation Course, my teacher showed the class this wonderful 90 minute video about a guy named Randy Pausch.

Randy Pausch was a wonderful and remarkable teacher who was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer last year. He was given 3-6 months to live. The video was his "Last Lecture" at Carangie Mellon which is where he taught computer science for many years. His "Last Lecture" was really incredible and very uplifting. He took his diagnosis with dignity and as a teacher, this man loved all his students and gave everyone a chance. He was a remarkable teacher and he will motivate anyone do go after and follow their dreams.

Randy passed away last Friday with his wife and 3 children by his side. Watch "The Last Lecture: A Celebration of Life" Tuesday July 29 on Primetime (ABC) at 9 p.m.

You can read more about his life and watch a short video HERE

Pretty great guy...

Louisiana Bound

I'm headed HERE this weekend and I can't wait. Wish me luck so I'll hit it BIG! I'll let you know how I did when I get back.

Scott started working on our yard today and plans to do more this weekend. I took a few pictures on him and Honey hard at work. I'll post them once I get back from my gambling trip on Sunday.

Have a great weekend~

24

I had a very enjoyable 24th birthday. Thursday evening Scott took me to Perry's Steakhouse and we had a wonderful meal...it was so yummy! Friday we went to the Sam Houston Race Track and saw Roger Creager. He was also celebrating his birthday so it was a pretty good concert. I even won $15 at the horses races and also had my first guests stay at my new house. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures Friday night so I don't have any to share :(

Here's a couple from Perry's.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

Lately

What I've been up to lately:

I finished taking my final test for my teaching certification today. Let's pray I passed!

After 2 months of living in my house, I FINALLY decorated a room! I know I'm just a little slow but the guest bathroom is done! It's looks great, I'll post a picture soon.
1 room down 5 to go!

I've been preparing somewhat for my classroom. I meet with the lady who I will partner teach with next Tuesday.

We joined a gym last week and went for the first time today. It's a nice, quiet, gym right down the street from me. After the gym we went and ate Mexican food...oops!

Oh and finally his weekend we will be celebrating my Little Nanny and Papa's 50th Wedding Anniversary! We will head down to Nada on Saturday.

That's all for now!

BBB

Big Brother's Back!

This is a totally ridiculous reality show but I have been a faithful fan for 9 seasons and I'm so happy it's back! It's on 3 times a week! A couple people are from this area, Spring and Magnolia.

CBS- Tuesdays 9pm et/pt, Wednesdays 8pm et/pt, Sundays 8pm et/pt (just in case you wanted to know)

Honey & Roxi

A couple of weekends ago, Honey and I were in Nada and her best friend came over to play. They were so excited to see each other! Here's a few from their play-date.
